Studio

Percussive Studios began as a place for me to create and produce my original music, but I’ve been fortunate to find some top notch recording and mixing equipment which gives me the opportunity to mix or master for others as well. With some patience and luck I’ve acquired quality pieces to work with.

Drums

  • Tama Imperialstar
  • Aquarian Reflector Ice White Batter heads
  • Evans G1 resonant heads
  • Sabian AAX cymbals all around
  • Shure PGA56 on all toms
  • Shure SM57 on snare
  • Shure Beta 52A and CAD D10 on kick
  • Rode M5-MP condenser matched pair for overhead
  • MXL 993 condenser on hihats

Drums run through the Allen & Heath GL2400 32 channel board into a Ferrofish Pulse 16 to accommodate the quantity of drum mics. The Ferrofish uses an ADAT connection to the RME Fireface 800 interface running through Reaper DAW. I use Reaper for tracking and mixing, but have also been using Mixbus DAW for mastering – but am still pretty new to that one.
